Facial Aesthetics
There are many myths surrounding the use of muscle relaxing treatments. What the benefits are, how they work, the side effects and how long the treatment lasts are questions asked frequently.
Here is a brief insight into the world of facial aesthetics.
Facial lines are caused by:
Repeated use of the facial muscles we use them without thinking and often frown when concentrating on a particular task, talking on the phone or even doing the crossword. After a time these lines become permanent. Ideally it is better to treat the cause and prevent the lines developing. With this treatment you allow the frown muscles to become inactive for three to four months. This freezing is temporary and full movement will always return. The aim is to break the habit of frowning leaving a smooth refreshed younger look. Existing lines are also softened rejuvenating the whole face giving you a sense of well being.
The treatment is administered by injection, there is very little discomfort as the needle used is very fine. After 3 to 5 days the treatment will start to take effect and within 2 weeks the muscles will have reached complete inactivity. For people with stronger brow muscles a “Top Up” may be necessary, this usually applies to men, so a follow up appointment is needed to ensure patients satisfaction.
Here at Emma James we have enlisted a team of experienced practitioners consisting of Dr. John Green and a registered nurse Sue Balnaves who have worked in this field for several years. They have extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the facial muscles and nerves and use only the top end approved products in all treatments such as used in Harley Street. They are both actively working in the medical profession and are willing to give any advice and answer any questions that may arise regarding facial muscle relaxation treatments, other usage of muscle relaxant products can also be discussed these include excessive sweating problems on most areas on the body.
