As many of us spend our days on our feet it is no surprise that a great deal of pain and discomfort can result from using poorly fitted footwear.

Prescription insoles made from measurements of the foot and assessment of the way you walk (gait analysis) can help prevent injury caused by poor biomechanics from inadequate footwear such as; Plantar fascitis, achilles tendonitis, shin splints, knee pain and lower back pain.

The prescription of orthoses (insoles) is broken into 2 phases depending upon the clients budget.

Insoles to fit all shoe types (including high heels and Rugby boots);

• Shock absorbing heel Pads
• Heel cups  
• Heel raises
• Arch support insoles
• Blister care packs   
• Tactel 1000 mile socks  
• Taping of the foot and ankle

Phase One:

Assessment and calculation of prescription is done during one appointment (initial £40 or follow up £38).
E.g. 2 pairs of 1st phase prescription ordered insoles (sports or office wear) with shock absorbing heel raise £100.

Phase Two:

A plaster cast of both feet is sent to the specialist manufacturers. Tailor made orthotic insoles are produced to the highest standards with varying guarentees (1 year to a lifetime).

The cost is approx £260 to £300 depending on the specification and purpose of the insole i.e. office shoes v's sports insoles.
