I am the governing body medical officer to the British Judo Association, having worked with them for 6 years. I am a member of the British Olympic Medical Committee representing the sport of Judo. I am also a GP with special interest in musculoskeletal medicine with the Vale of Aylesbury PCT, where I helped set up and run a back pain clinic. I have now become a tutor and examiner on the Sports and Exercise Medicine course at Bath.
Working with British Judo I have travelled a lot with the junior and senior British teams. Closer to home I worked at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and have worked a little this season with Harlequins Rugby League and also with the English Institute of Sport at Bisham Abbey.
I have and particular interest in back pain and sports injuries and enjoy working as part of a team of therapists.
