Hazel Hussey
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP
After graduating from King’s College London with a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy, Hazel worked in Ghana as a physiotherapist.
During this time she worked as a physiotherapist on several different projects. These included working as a physiotherapist for Right to Dream, a charity offering gifted young Ghanaian football players, from a background of severe poverty, the opportunity to fulfill their sporting potential. Time was also spent working in the musculoskeletal outpatients department at the Korle Bu hospital in Accra, and in a free physiotherapy clinic in the suburbs for those unable to afford physiotherapy treatment in a hospital. She also provided pitch side physiotherapy for a Ghana Premier League football team.
Working with sports teams in Ghana sparked an interested in sports medicine. Hazel now spends time working as a physiotherapist at Tring Rugby Club, providing both pitch side and rehabilitative treatment.
Hazel has experience of working in the corporate sector through working as an ‘in-house’ physiotherapist in London, and has developed an interest in treating work based injuries.
Hazel regularly updates all her clinical skills and has undertaken post-graduate education, including acupuncture.
