Jenny Scaife
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Teesside
Area of specialisation: Manual handling and Ergonomics
After graduating in 1998 Jenny worked throughout the UK in the Midlands, Newcastle and London, fine tuning her skills particularly within musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
In 2002 she took 6 months out to travel the world and on her return she entered into the world of ergonomics and manual handling driven by a passion to improve health and safety, performance and well being within the workplace.
For 5 years Jenny managed the Back Care Service for a large private hospital organisation in Central London providing manual handling training, advise and ergonomic risk assessments (including Display Screen Equipment) for over 3000 members of staff.
In 2004 Jenny was awarded the Occupational Hygiene Module in Ergonomics from the British Occupational Hygiene Society and between 2005 and 2008 Jenny was Chair of the South London National Back Exchange Group, which is the leading governing body for all issues regarding manual handling.
At the age of 14 Jenny came 4th in the British National Intermediate Gymnastics Championships and she still holds her schools high jump record that she set in 1991!
